Here in Greater Des Moines, it's simple to be a kid. Whether your concept of family enjoyable is a skate park, a smash park, an amusement park, or a real park, Des Moines is the ideal escape, no matter if you're young or just young at heart.
Gee, what could be more fun than spring break with the kids? Those stunning children getting on the sofa, battling with each other, making a mess everywhere they go. It suffices to drive a moms and dad wild. So, leave your house. Here's a list of things you can do with the rugrats totally free, and they're fun, too.
The outdoor park is totally free to go to every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Register here: Bring a coat and enjoy the telescopes and professional aid at a "Starr Celebration" at Caspers Wilderness Park from 7-9:30 p.m. There will be stargazing equipment on hand, but you can also bring your own. Activities take location at the nature center. Free admission, but parking is $5.
Kids can choose from a variety of seeds offered to take home and grow their own gardens (while products last). How about a scavenger hunt for teenagers at the Teenager Egg-Venture? Browse for clues inside at the Ronald J. Parks Community Leisure Center at 7 p.m. to win rewards, then delight in a picture cubicle, video games, dodgeball, Karaoke and more until 9 p.m. 30875 Rancho Vista Road, Temecula.
There will be a timed egg scramble for kids ages 10 and under, fun art activities, a kids play zone, live student musical, dance performances, a neighborhood walking at 10:30 a.m. and more.
